An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Estimator to join a long‑established, financially secure, award‑winning main contractor delivering high‑quality new build and refurbishment projects across multiple sectors. About the Role
You will support the estimating function on new build and refurbishment projects across education, healthcare, student accommodation, residential, hotels, industrial and retail sectors.
The role is based in Bury St Edmunds, with travel across East Anglia, the Southeast and the Midlands for site visits.
You will work on frameworks and negotiated contracts for well-known national clients in the retail and leisure sectors, including store refurbishments/fit-outs and hotel extensions/conversions.
Building relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers will be an important part of your role, as the business enjoys high levels of repeat work.
What We’re Looking For
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Assistant Estimator
• Desire to progress to an Estimator position
• Strong communication skills and confidence in building long-term relationships
• A proactive, organised approach and willingness to learn
