Job Title:Winnies (Food & Beverage) Manager

Department:Winnie's

Reporting To:Assistant General Manager

Winnie's, your friendly neighbourhood café & bar, is committed to reducing our environmental impact. We do this by sourcing local, seasonal ingredients to limit the carbon footprint of our dishes, as well as using fairtrade coffee, and organic meat and vegetables.

Purpose of the role

As a manager at Winnies youll beexcited about Room2 and the Winnie's brands and where theyre going.

Our managers provide great leadership, supporting their teams and making our customers happy, whilst managing operational processes and budgets. Youll know the ins and outs of how brand and marketing help a restaurant to grow and become part of the community.

With a background in sustainable restauranting a Winnies manager cares about people, food, drink and delivering great experiences.

Key Responsibilities

People

* Ensure a consistently high level of service and hospitality, aligning with room2 and Winnies brand values.

* Recruit, train, coach and motivate staff to deliver warm, professional, and knowledgeable service in line with Winnies step of service.

* Train, supervise, and support the team in food safety and health procedures, ensuring the correct use of PPE and COSHH

* Schedule shifts efficiently to balance labour costs with operational needs.

* Lead team meetings and provide regular performance feedback. Monthly 1-1 performance reviews

* Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment.

* Were flexible. Handle guest feedback and complaints effectively. (turning issues into positive experiences)

* Were part of a community. Foster a welcoming, home-like atmosphere that encourages repeat visits

Places

* Work with the Head of F&B to set and achieve revenue targets.

* Analyse sales data and implement strategies to improve profitability.

* Manage & supervise inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships to ensure efficiency and sustainability.

* Support brand promotions, events, and collaborations to increase visibility and customer loyalty.

* Develop and execute initiatives to drive footfall and engagement.

* Foster relationships with local suppliers and the community

Planet

* Putting the planet in the forefront of all business decisions

* Taking part in all company social responsibility initiatives

* Foster relationships with local suppliers and the community

* Ensure adherence to room2s sustainability commitments and B Corp values.

* Source ingredients locally and responsibly, in line with the brands ethos.

* Minimise waste and implement sustainable operational practices.

Technical Knowledge

* Understanding of brand identity and ability to maintain consistency in guest experience

* Ability to motivate, inspire, and develop a team, creating a positive, respectful and productive work environment.

* A genuine love for F&B and a commitment to sustainable practices.

* Strong people skills to build rapport with guests and create a welcoming atmosphere. Ability to handle guest complaints and feedback professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction

* Operational & Business Management - budgeting and financial management skills, including cost control, sales tracking. Ability to develop and implement efficient workflows for both front- and back-of-house operations. Knowledge of POS systems, scheduling software, and inventory management tools.

* Restaurant management including opening/closing procedures, service including optimised service speed, table turnover, and guest satisfaction.

* Ability to implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficiency and consistency.

* Understanding of Menu changes to ensure all menu changes at Winnie's are executed smoothly, maintaining compliance with food safety regulations.
