A well-established business based in Beverley is currently seeking an Interim Financial Controller to support their team for an initial 3–6 month period. This role offers a competitive day rate/salary depending on experience, alongside a collaborative and professional working environment.
As the Interim Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:
1. Leading the month-end close process and producing accurate management accounts
2. Managing and mentoring a small finance team to ensure timely and efficient output
3. Overseeing cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning
4. Preparing and presenting financial reports to senior leadership
5. Supporting the audit process and ensuring all statutory compliance
6. Streamlining financial processes and identifying opportunities for improvement
7. Acting as the key point of contact for finance-related queries during the interim period
To be successful in this Interim Financial Controller role, you will ideally have:
8. A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
9. Proven experience in a similar Financial Controller or senior finance role
10. Strong Excel and financial systems proficiency
11. A hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to lead and support others
12. Excellent attention to detail and the confidence to make decisions independently
