Job Specification Fault finding, electrical systems such as Siemens S7. To carry out PPM's and attend machine breakdowns diagnosing any mechanical/electrical/hydraulic and pneumatics failures minimizing downtime. Perform root-cause analysis and fault-finding on production machinery. To use a wide range of tools and engineering techniques to maintain and repair the plant, machinery, and equipment to operational standards. Ensure that all maintenance issues have been logged on the maintenance system accurately. Work to high health and safety standards while carrying out maintenance tasks. Play a pivotal role in Maintenance Engineering projects and drive through continuous improvement initiatives. Regularly liaise with Maintenance Staff, Production and Quality departments regarding all maintenance issues. Service and maintenance of other plant equipment to include water heaters, pumps etc. Working to planned maintenance schedules and dealing effectively with machine breakdowns. Previous experience & Qualifications Previous experience within a busy Manufacturing environment. Good Health and Safety awareness. You will need to be well-versed in Siemens PLC run machinery. Must be able to design and manufacture electrical control panels. Understands PLC systems and the use of the associated tools for the interrogation of the software. An understanding of mechanical systems. Holds relevant Electrical Engineering qualifications such as City & Guilds/ NVQ level 3 and 18th or 19th Edition Electrical Regulations. Capable of understanding complex engineering/electrical drawings. Able to multitask with minimum supervision. Competent in the use of Microsoft based products (Excel, Word, and Project). Good problem solver with a keen eye for detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility to react quickly, reschedule and priorities workloads.
