About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Specialized Technician to join our ambitious team. This full-time role is ideal for a hands-on individual who thrives in the high-energy world of racing and autonomous vehicle technology. Your expertise will impact our performance on the track and the evolution of autonomous motorsports.
The role is based in Sint-Truiden, Belgium, with frequent international travel to support testing sessions and racing events. Flexibility in work schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends, is required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Vehicle Management: Lead setup, maintenance, and track-side operations of autonomous race cars and high-performance electric vehicles.
* Mechanical Excellence: Perform mechanical maintenance including disassembly, inspection, optimization, and reassembly, ensuring safety and performance standards.
Dynamic Track Operations: Manage vehicle operations during live sessions, including pit stops and real-time adjustments.
Logistics Coordination: Oversee vehicle transport logistics across Europe and internationally, collaborating with the Technical Director.
Workshop Leadership: Maintain an organized and efficient workshop environment for vehicle prep and maintenance.
Safety Stewardship: Ensure adherence to safety regulations, flag protocols, and emergency procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Mechanical Mastery: Knowledge of high-performance vehicle systems, suspension tuning, tire management, and optimization.
Electronics Competency: Basic knowledge of electronic systems like steer-by-wire and brake-by-wire, with experience in MoTeC systems.
Motorsport Experience: At least 3 years in a professional racing environment, demonstrating capability and understanding of motorsport dynamics.
Technical Qualification: Diploma or certification in automotive, mechanical engineering, or related field.
Adaptable Mindset: Interest in autonomous driving tech and eagerness to innovate in sportscar and racing environments.
Collaborative Spirit: Strong team player with good communication skills.
Valid Driver's License
