This post will be based at the Oxford Road Campus (Manchester Royal Infirmary) and Wythenshawe Hospital as part of Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, though it may include duties at spoke hospitals. The position involves first on-call commitments, during weekdays and weekends on a 1:13 rota. It offers the opportunity to work within a major teaching hospital neighbouring one of the largest university campuses in Western Europe, in collaboration with the Medical School and Dental School of Manchester. There are excellent prospects for research and teaching at all levels.
Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate must hold a current registration with the GDC at the time of application or be able to apply for temporary registration, whether it be an active licence, ceased licence, or a pending application. Candidates who do not meet this criteria will not progress to the shortlisting stage.
Please note: MFT is not a right-to-work sponsoring organisation for Tier 5. Should a candidate require Tier 5 sponsorship, they must apply through the Academy of Royal College via the Dental Training Initiative Scheme.
The contract for this role will be held with the Surgical Division of North Manchester General Hospital (NMGH). The Clinical Director for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Managed Single Service is Mr Sajid Sainuddin, and the General Manager is Mr Richard Tipney.
