Accounts Manager (Practice) – Permanent – based in Buckingham, MK18
Job Purpose:
This is a fantastic opportunity for qualified individual to take on a varied and rewarding managerial role within a well-established independent firm of Chartered Accountants and registered Auditors. You’ll oversee a team of trainees, manage client relationships, and take ownership of workflow and quality of work across the practice within a friendly and professional team.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Allocate and manage workflow across the team
* Supervise, mentor, and coordinate trainees
* Review accounts and tax return work prepared by staff
* Meet new clients and manage existing relationships
* Conduct trainee reviews and appraisals
* Prepare accounts and tax returns for Limited Companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships
* Assist with audits and ad hoc managerial duties
Person Specification:
* Strong working knowledge of Outlook, IRIS, MS Office, Sage, and online bookkeeping systems
* Excellent time management, planning, and organisational skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
* Initiative and a proactive approach
Qualifications / Experience:
* ACA or ACCA qualified
* Prior managerial experience
Hours of Work:
* Monday – Friday (37.5 hours)
Work Location:
* Hybrid available (3 days in person and 2 days WFH)
