We’re currently looking for a Tax Senior to work with a varied portfolio of personal tax clients, from sole traders to directors of owner managed businesses, with the opportunity to work with larger more complex clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing Self-Assessment personal tax returns efficiently and accurately
* Preparing P11D forms, advising on benefits in kind and preparing PAYE Settlement Agreements
* Preparing Capital Gains Tax computations and in year CGT on UK Property returns.
* Communicating with colleagues from other departments, clients, and HMRC by telephone, email, and in writing where required
* Ad-hoc assistance with tax queries and projects
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* ATT qualification (or part-qualified) or qualified by experience
* Proven experience within a similar role
* Strong technical expertise in personal tax, partnership tax and Capital Gains Tax
* Experience in coaching and training junior members of the team
* Proficiency in CCH is preferred, but not essential as full training and support will be provided
* Sound tax advisory knowledge in owner managed businesses covering IHT, CGT, Income Tax and Company Tax issues would be preferred but is not essential
