About the Role: As a Class Teacher, you will take full responsibility for delivering high-quality learning experiences that meet the needs of your class. You will plan and teach engaging lessons across the primary curriculum while maintaining a focus on pupil progress, behaviour, and personal development. Whether you are teaching Key Stage 1 or 2, you will benefit from excellent planning resources and a team of experienced support staff to help you every step of the way. Key Responsibilities of a Class Teacher: Plan and deliver exciting and effective lessons that inspire and engage pupils Differentiate instruction to meet a range of learning needs and abilities Assess pupil progress and use data to inform future planning Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment Manage pupil behaviour in line with school policy and positive reinforcement strategies Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers Contribute to the wider life of the school, including clubs, trips, and events Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and ensure consistency Uphold the school’s vision and core values in all aspects of teaching Ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies Class Teacher – Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential Experience teaching in a UK primary school (KS1 and KS2) Strong understanding of the primary national curriculum Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills A creative and reflective approach to teaching and learning Have an updated CV and an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Why Join GSL Education?
