Position: SEMH Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team in Horley or Redhill, Surrey, providing personalised support to students. The ideal candidate will be patient, resilient, and committed to promoting independence and wellbeing in a nurturing environment. Experience with SEN and a proactive, team-focused approach are essential.
Contract Type: Full-time
What You’ll Do:
1. Support students in their learning journey, encouraging them to overcome challenges and celebrate their achievements.
2. Assist in developing engaging, tailored activities that spark joy and curiosity in your students.
3. Collaborate closely with teachers and staff to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
4. Build meaningful relationships with students, providing guidance and a friendly ear (and maybe a few high-fives!).
5. Contribute to maintaining a respectful and collaborative classroom environment.
Who You Are:
6. A friendly and approachable individual with a genuine passion for working with young people.
7. Previous experience in education or youth support is beneficial, but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are key!
8. Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
9. A team player who thrives in a collaborative setting and loves to make learning fun.
