Nursery Teaching Assistant

Full-time (Mon- Fri, 8.30am-3.30pm)
£13.75-£14.50 per hour
Start date: October 2025
EYFS experience required
A mainstream primary school in Blackburn have approached Teaching Personnel to recruit for an experienced Nursery Class Teaching Assistant. The school are looking for an individual who can work across both Nursery and EYFS classes. The role is to start in October and is currently until the end of that academic year, with the potential to become full time for the correct candidate.
The position will be to support small groups of children throughout the school day as well as carrying out relevant observations on children within the class. You will also be working alongside the class teacher to help to plan interaction and highly motivating lesson.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working within EYFS, as well as a sound knowledge of the EYFS curriculum. Though out your role you will be supporting children to ensure that they are school ready for September. Experience of phonics and working with pupils with SEN is also preferred. This role can be challenging, however, highly rewarding.
You will need to hold the following;
Experience in EYFS or School environment
Available for full time work
Enthusiastic and passionate about the Early Years Sector
Level 3 qualified or above
Good behaviour management skills
Experience of delivering Phonics

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
