The User Experience Research Manager is integral to guiding product strategy and development by overseeing a team of skilled researchers focused on mitigating risk and strengthening decision-making. Reporting to the VP of User Experience, this role advocates for research excellence, ensures user insights are effectively incorporated into product strategies, and works in close partnership with Product and Engineering. Through strong leadership, the manager ensures that the research team consistently delivers actionable, high-value insights to advance user experience and support overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and mentor a team of UX researchers, fostering a culture of curiosity, rigor, and continuous improvement.

2. Advocate for the value of user insights across the organization, partnering across departments to capture a 360 view of the customer.

3. Develop and implement research strategies aligned with product and business goals, prioritizing activities for maximum impact in partnership with product management.

4. Oversee the planning and execution of qualitative and quantitative research, including usability studies, interviews, surveys, ethnography, and competitive analysis.

5. Establish and track team objectives and KPIs, ensuring research outcomes are measurable and support organizational priorities.

6. Synthesize and communicate research findings clearly to stakeholders at all levels, enabling data-driven decision making.

Qualifications:

7. Proven experience leading UX research teams in an enterprise or SaaS environment.

8. Deep expertise in a wide range of research methodologies and tools (e.g., usability testing, surveys, interviews, analytics platforms).

9. Strong strategic mindset with the ability to connect research insights to business outcomes.

10. Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with a track record of influencing product and business decisions through research.

11. Experience building and scaling research processes and cross-functional partnerships.

12. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

13. Familiarity with design and research tools (e.g., Figma, Dovetail, Maze) and collaboration platforms (e.g., Miro, Jira, Confluence).
