2gether Support Solutions is a Facilities and Estates services company providing support to healthcare professionals caring for over 2000 patients daily across multiple East Kent hospital sites. 2gether provides vital services including maintenance, cleaning, catering, procurement, logistics and much more.
The Role
We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Parking and Traffic Support Officer to support the smooth running of the patient and staff car parks. You'll be the first point of contact for staff, patients, and visitors, providing assistance in a courteous and professional manner while ensuring our car parks remain safe, accessible, and compliant with the Trust Parking Policy.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Patrolling car parks to maintain safe access and egress, issuing notices for parking breaches, and reporting hazards.
* Assisting drivers with directions, finding suitable spaces, and resolving parking queries or complaints.
* Maintaining traffic flow and ensuring fire routes and access points remain unobstructed.
* Issuing permits and scratch cards, handling payments, and managing receipts and banking.
* Undertaking routine cleaning, restocking, and basic maintenance of parking equipment, as well as resolving first-line faults.
* Supporting colleagues, including helping to train new staff, and travelling across sites when required.
* Using IT systems and intercoms to assist users remotely, including lifting barriers and re-issuing tickets.
The Person
We are seeking someone who:
* Has excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
* Can work independently and as part of a team, showing initiative when dealing with problems.
* Is reliable, flexible, and willing to work across multiple hospital sites, including weekends and unsocial hours.
* Has good organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Holds a full UK driving licence, with access to a vehicle insured for business use (mileage paid at the appropriate rate).
* Is committed to Health & Safety and willing to undertake mandatory training and personal development.
