About The Role
Working in our Technical Services mobile team on a Major Retail contract with opportunities to support other Commercial and Residential contracts in our continually expanding division.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure all delegated Reactive Works orders and PPMs are completed within the contract-defined time SLAs & KPIs.
2. Contribute to overall efficiency, effectiveness, and contract profitability, supporting the delivery of service.
3. Support the implementation of an integrated approach for the delivery of all contracted services, ensuring all works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
4. Provide on-call cover on average 1 in 8 weeks.
5. Plan, inspect, and carry out repairs or preventative maintenance as required, responding to breakdowns promptly.
6. Perform building fabric repairs, small plumbing, joinery, and other maintenance tasks.
7. Assist the maintenance team with any other facilities work.
8. Provide quotations for recommended works.
9. Follow safe systems of work before commencing activities.
10. Ensure work activities are properly carried out and sites maintained to high standards.
11. Provide general handyman services including L8.
12. Liaise with subcontractors, cleaners, and security to ensure effective facilities management.
13. Provide callout response for the client as per the callout rota, on average 1 in 4 weeks.
Essential Hiring Criteria
1. Time-served Fabric engineer with maintenance experience.
2. Skills in Carpentry, Painting & Decorating, Door Hanging, Carpet/Lino repairs, Glazing, Masonry, Locksmithing, Tiling, and ceiling grids/tiles.
3. L8 ACOP certification.
4. Knowledge of safety documentation and site safety procedures.
5. Legionella awareness.
6. CSCS Skills card or equivalent.
7. First Aid certification.
8. Valid driving license.
9. Basic IT skills, including Excel and Microsoft Office.
