Registered Nurse / Operating Department Practitioner – Endoscopy (Substantive & Fixed‑Term Maternity Cover Opportunities) – Stroud Hospital, NHS Trust
Responsibilities
As an Endoscopy Practitioner, you will play a key role in delivering safe, high‑quality, patient‑centred care within our JAG‑accredited Endoscopy service at Stroud Hospital. Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will care for patients throughout their endoscopy journey, including admission, preparation, assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, recovery, discharge and aftercare. You will support the smooth day‑to‑day running of the unit, ensuring high clinical standards, excellent patient experience and safe use of equipment, including participation in endoscope care and decontamination processes following appropriate training. This is a varied and rewarding role offering the opportunity to work collaboratively with colleagues across Endoscopy, Day Surgery and partner services, contributing to service development, quality improvement and continuous learning.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have post‑registration experience in endoscopy, theatres, day surgery, or a similar acute clinical setting. Knowledge of JAG standards and JET training would be beneficial, but is not essential, as a comprehensive training package is available for the right candidate.
