The purpose of the Brand Marketing team is to generate increased brand love, awareness and consideration in customers, encouraging existing customers to shop more with us and new customers to consider Dunelm as a shopping destination. Our brand platform, The Home of Homes, is supported by owned channels, including ATL and organic social, as well as earned media and influencer engagement, underpinned by consistent creative and tone of voice. We work closely with the Commercial teams, Digital Trading and Digital Marketing to ensure the seamless promotion of our fantastic product offering and the work we do as a responsible retailer to support our local communities and the world in which we operate.


Role Overview

The Senior Studio Operations Manager is a senior studio operational leader, focused on developing a strong team of Co-Ordinators and Production experts.

This role is accountable for interpreting and forecasting the businesses imaging needs to support commercial and channel priorities, shaping these into short and long-term plans to deliver high volume, quality stills and motion content synonymous with our brand.

The role holder will provide the framework for success, leading and motivating teams to plan, forecast budget, ensure sample efficiencies and manage the content production to deliver on our business-critical paths and timelines. Without our brilliant production team, our brilliant studio creative team wouldn’t be able to do what they do best.


What you’ll be doing

* Deliver a sustainable select to publish model which supports the commercial product pipeline into a scalable ecommerce model.
* Define and implement our production approach and develop processes to support the business’s evolving imaging and content needs of stakeholder channel teams.
* Optimise resource, talent and samples to deliver against critical paths and budgets set.
* Manage the contractual, logistical and financial relationship with our external suppliers in the support of the delivery of our imagery needs.
* Financial forecasting of all productions and attentive management throughout the production to mitigate any overspend.
* Be the gatekeeper of seasonal briefs and be responsible for scheduling shoots in the most efficient way, challenging the status quo.
* Oversee the daily, weekly and monthly studio shooting and CGI schedules, communicating these to the studio team and business stakeholders.
* Optimise sample through process to ensure samples can be located at all times and drive operational efficiency.
* Build a black book of freelance talent to support additional resource requirements.
* Line manage, train and mentor the production and samples team, championing their individual development, making sure they’re meeting their performance objectives and supporting their career progression aspirations.
* Ensure the Dam is updated with imagery supplied with Meta data.
* Ensure that shoots comply with Health & Safety requirements, and all equipment is in a good, safe and efficient working conditio


What we’ll look for in you

* Proven experience shooting on location (UK).
* Experience in delivering high volume e-commerce and speed to market models for retail.
* Superior levels of experience within the studio environment with an understanding and empathy of each function and role within.
* An understanding of pre- and post-photo shoot production processes.
* Outstanding leadership ability and mentor ethos.
* Highly networked individual.
* Influencing ability at all levels. Meticulous attention to detail with an ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
* Strong problem management skills with the ability to navigate and respond quickly to challenges.
* Experience of working with external Design and Creative agencies including procuring favourable rates and ensuring transparency of budgets and timelines.
* Able to optimise Monday.com to ensure visibility, duplication of effort and completeness against critical paths.
* Able to optimise the use of samples within the team, recommend and embed new sample tracking processes.
* Excellent planning and organisational skills - adaptable and able to work on multiple tasks and prioritise to meet the business needs.
* Highly collaborative, encouraging positive relationships and ways of working.
