A thriving mainstream secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a committed and passionate History Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis starting immediately. The Role:
* Deliver engaging and well-planned History lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
* Plan, prepare, and assess in line with the national curriculum and departmental schemes of work
* Inspire students to develop a strong interest and understanding of historical events, concepts, and interpretations
* Support learners of varying abilities, ensuring progress and attainment for all
* Contribute to the wider department and participate in school life
* Maintain effective classroom management and uphold high expectations of behaviour and achievement
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Have experience teaching History at secondary level
* Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for History
* Be confident in delivering high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students
* Possess excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
* Be a team player with a proactive and professional approach
