* Managing supplier relationships through regular performance reviews, audits, and site visits
* Overseeing inventory held by third-party suppliers
* Conducting spend analysis and proactively collaborating with supply chain partners
* Leading and managing the procurement team on a daily basis
* Monitoring and controlling freight and shipping costs within the UK, EU, and beyond
* Managing project-based purchasing activities
* Driving process improvements aligned with business objectives
* Overseeing stock levels of repeat order items via MRP systems
Person Specification Of The Purchasing Manager
* Proven experience in procurement or purchasing within a manufacturing environment
* Demonstrated leadership skills managing a team in a fast-paced setting
* Strong negotiation and influencing abilities
* Excellent analytical and numerical skills
* Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems
* Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills
* Ability to work calmly and professionally under pressure
