Housing Officer known internally as a Local Housing Manager\n\nLocation: Covering Derby. 1 day to be spent in our Derby Office Postcode DE23 6QL\n\nSalary: £35,944 - £37,835 - Full Time 37.5hr working week - Permanent Position\n\nThis role\n\nMTVH are recruiting for a skilled and experienced Local Housing Manager who can provide excellent housing & estate services to our rented properties within a defined geographical patch. The locality of these properties is based within postcode locations DE23.\n\nAs our Local Housing Manager, you will be the front facing representative of MTVH, co-ordinating internal & external services to meet the diverse range of needs of our customer base by delivering services both on an individual & local basis to a high standard.

It is essential that the ideal candidate has proven previous experience of dealing with customers presenting with complex or challenging needs.\n\nThis role is predominantly based within office hours of 9-5.30pm (flexibility with hours to be discussed at interview) working a 37.5hr week Monday to Friday. You will be expected to be out on-site 3 days per week with 1 day being spent in-house at our office coupled with home working. As with any community-based role, occasional flexibility with working hours will be required and part of your job role will see you participating in supporting our customers with local initiatives and on occasions can evening work, although this is not common.\n\nThis role will also require you to manage relationships with the Local Authority and other Housing Association partners.

You will also be the point of contact for customers with respect to complex ASB complaints & cases, estate services, tenancy management, tenancy enforcement and lettings management.\n\nWhat you'll need to succeed:\n\nEssential car user\nExperience of working in a social housing setting is essential\nExperience of working within a supported housing environment is desirable\nWhilst good working knowledge of housing practice, housing law and the principles of service charge management is essential, to really succeed it will be your values and passion that will set you apart.\nAt MTVH our values of care, dare and collaborate run through all that we do, we’re looking for people who can demonstrate these behaviours every day of the week.\nAt a time of continuing change, you should be able to demonstrate the ability to adapt and be flexible\nAbility to collaborate, network and be a strong team player\nExperience of dealing with customers from different backgrounds, presenting with complex or challenging needs is essential\nExperience of excellent administration skills & analysing customer feedback to achieve service improvements\nAttention to detail and accuracy in writing, reporting and numeracy\nExperience of dealing with customers face to face and responding to customer enquiries on the phone and in writing\nAbility to self-manage a varied and demanding workload, prioritising and organising too\nA self-starter who isn’t afraid of challenge, shows innovation, initiative, empathy & passion\nThe ability to manage and report on projects against agreed targets\nMust possess excellent office management skills, managing inboxes, keys etc\nMust be willing to work flexible hours as required\nDesirable\n\nHousing qualification\nInterview Diary Date: To be held at our office in Beeston on the 22 & 23 July 25\n\nTo meet our commitment to providing safe, high-quality services to our customers we will complete a basic background check with the Disclosure and Barring service once an offer of employment is made.
