You will be working as part of the Urology Nurse Practitioner Team delivering exceptional care for the patients attending the unit. The unit is expanding its services and will open a Diagnostic Investigations Unit and leading with a Specialised Nursing team undergoing procedures: Local Anaesthetic Trans Perineal Biopsies, Flexible Cystoscopies, Lithotripsy and developing a Urology Assessment Unit. The patients will expect, and will receive, the highest standards of professional care by all members of the team who will be involved.
To work in a clinical environment and provide a high standard of patient care, able to assess and prepare patients for procedures recover and discharge them safely and assess – treat – discharge or admit patients seen in our assessment area. Working in both procedure and assessment clinics alongside the specialist teams will ensure a positive patient experience and optimal Urological outcome and prevent delays in treatment, assessment and intervention.

Coordinating the Local Anaesthetic Trans perineal Prostate (LATP) biopsy clinics and flexible cystoscopy clinics
* Assist clinicians within the diagnostic clinic maintaining accurate patient records and infection control measures
* To support in Trial Without Catheter (TWOC) clinics monitoring urine output, completing flow clinics and urine dip analysis.
* Perform aseptic technique for wound care, drains and catheter care
* Communicate effectively with patients, carers, relatives and all members of the multi-disciplinary team
