With 305 keys in total, the dual-site Hyatt Place Hotel and Hyatt House Apartments are located in Sovereign Square at the heart of Leeds City Centre. The hotel offers 4 boardroom meeting rooms, a destination rooftop bar Azotea, and an 88 apartment-style Hyatt House extended stay concept with F&B offering.
This is a strategic sales leadership role where the successful candidate will identify, develop and proactively account manage key business/leisure travel agents, corporate accounts & meetings & events customers to drive revenue in line with the hotel’s commercial strategies. The role focuses on being proactive and results-driven and requires strong commercial acumen with proven sales-led success within corporate sectors.

Day in the Life
* As Sales Director, you will work proactively with the senior Aimbridge team to produce a commercial plan that interprets objectives of the business and maps out actions and strategies to support and promote the hotel in line with brand standards.
* You’ll be a networking champion, establishing and growing a strong local and nationwide network, utilizing existing and new contacts.
* You’ll be a key point of communication between senior stakeholders and commercial partners and a strong relationship manager who navigates conversations between groups and intermediary partners to secure new business and grow existing opportunities.
* On property, you will work with the Hotel General Manager and Revenue team to align strategies and tactics to retain and grow the business. You will manage and lead the operations of the sales and events team to deliver high-quality services according to objectives and standards.
What we need from you
* A leader and influencer who instils trust: able to spot new opportunities within existing and new business and client groups and coach those around you.
* Sales Experience: prior sales experience within the hospitality industry in an above-property role, implementing the sales strategy for a significant part of the commercial division. Experience in major strategic bids and development discussions is advantageous.
* Industry Awareness and External Network: ability to develop strategic relationships within the commercial landscape to find opportunities to advance the innovation agenda through partnerships and collaborations.
* Action-oriented self-starter: capable of leveraging existing leads and opportunities and spotting key opportunities to secure deals across multiple hotels and locations.
* Performance focus: continuously align with brand partners, hold teams accountable for delivering results at the hotel.
