* Starting salary: £38,000 for candidates with NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent in Mechanical/Engineering Subject)
* £34,000 for candidates with NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent in Mechanical/Engineering Subject)
* Clear progression opportunities to earn up to £46,000 with further training and experience
* All PPE, tools, and fuel card provided
* Full‑time permanent, with flexibility for part‑time; 37 hours, 5‑day working pattern including some weekends

This team‑oriented position will see you joining one of our Water Services Teams where you will ensure that the water supply process delivers wholesome drinking water to our customers.
Responsibilities
* Keep all kinds of equipment at Water Treatment Works operating correctly and reliably.
* Plan, carry out and respond promptly to equipment maintenance, incident and repair duties.
* Operate and maintain day‑to‑day operation of water supply assets, including pumps, screens, mixers, chemical dosing systems, etc.
* Conduct maintenance on water quality instruments & control systems, servicing and calibrations.
* Work toward a Licence to Operate Qualification to manage multiple complex water treatment works.
Requirements
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 (mechanical/engineering) qualification or equivalent, or completed relevant apprenticeship.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Ability to learn quickly and use initiative to solve problems.
* Flexible approach to working hours, including a standby rota; must live within the surrounding or neighbouring areas to undertake standby duties.
