In this role, you’ll lead the day-to-day hustle of the payroll team, ensuring every decimal is right where it needs to be—first time, every time. You’ll architect seamless payroll cycles that crush deadlines and compliance standards, while building unbreakable connections between conditions, employment contracts, awards, and entitlements. Your expertise will extend to owning interfaces with the ATO and Services Australia, managing portable long service leave, and handling payroll queries like a pro—no question too tricky, no issue too big. You’ll also develop and implement a structured remuneration and reward framework that screams precision, strategy, and fairness. This role will hold 2 direct reports and head the Payroll and Remuneration functions of the People and Culture team. This position is permanent full time based at our Southport office. Attention to Detail & Problem Solving: Meticulous accuracy, with the ability to investigate issues and find effective solutions. Communication & Integrity: Excellent written and verbal skills, paired with honesty and integrity. Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel, payroll systems (Aurion experience is a plus), and salary sacrificing for Public Benevolent Institutions. Teamwork & Independence: Capable of working autonomously while contributing effectively to a broader team.
