Accounts Assistant Manager

Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing a client portfolio, including reviewing year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders for senior management review.
2. Reviewing corporation tax computations and returns.
3. Completing, reviewing, and filing monthly and quarterly VAT returns under various VAT schemes.
4. Reviewing monthly and quarterly management accounts to a high standard.
5. Liaising with clients on technical queries and software-related issues.
6. Supporting the development and training of junior team members and managing workflow.
7. Delivering excellent client service.
8. Performing ad-hoc tasks to support Partners.
Desired skills and experience:
* 1-2 years post-qualification with ACA/ACCA.
* Minimum of 3 years' practice experience.
* Knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102.
* Experience with accounting systems such as CCH, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and Alphatax is preferred.
* Strong client relationship skills.
* Hands-on, diligent, with excellent interpersonal skills.
* Organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.
* Attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* Team player with a strong work ethic.
* Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
