About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Balfour Beatty's team as a construction partner for the Rolls Royce expansion work in Raynesway, Derby. This project aims to meet increased demand from the MOD and the AUKUS agreement. The programme will be executed in stages over the next eight years, involving infrastructure works, new manufacturing and office facilities, and redevelopment of existing industrial buildings.
What you'll be doing
Responsible for the successful delivery of all civils elements of the non-fissile programme, including initiation, planning, design, delivery, monitoring, commissioning, and handover/closeout. Scope includes highways, junctions, utility diversions, underground services, temporary works, pedestrian bridges, and involvement in car parks and building substructures.
As a Senior Project Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
* Preparing reports and liaising with stakeholders
* Ensuring adherence to scope and management plans
* Providing relevant information for decision-making
* Supporting team coordination through scope and package assignments
* Focusing on Zero Harm and staying updated with legislation
* Conducting safety tours and promoting safety initiatives
* Developing and updating resource allocation plans
You will have the following
* Ability and willingness to become security vetted to at least 'SC' level
* Proficiency in commercial/project management communication
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and metrics
* Ability to inspire and share the business vision
* Formal qualification (BSc/MSc) in management/construction or equivalent experience
* Holds APM PFQ/PMQ/PPQ
* Holds CSCS and SMSTS or equivalent
