Position
We are recruiting Non‑Emergency Patient Transport Service Ambulance Care Assistants (ACA's) in Hull & East Yorkshire. The role involves supporting patients, their carers and healthcare representatives, transporting them to and from healthcare appointments, and assisting in hospital discharges.
Responsibilities
* Transport patients safely to and from appointments.
* Provide manual handling support as required.
* Communicate with patients, carers and healthcare representatives, adapting approach as needed.
* Ensure a pleasant patient experience, maintaining politeness and professionalism.
* Assist in discharge processes when patients are fit for discharge.
* Participate in training and ongoing staff development.
Qualifications and Experience
* Must be able to consider each patient as an individual and meet a wide variety of communication and other needs.
* Experience in customer service or healthcare support is preferred.
* Ability to perform manual handling tasks.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Willingness to attend a 4‑week training course within Yorkshire.
