Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with The Ferrers School in Wellingborough to recruit an enthusiastic PE Teacher to join their team for a maternity cover position starting in January 2026.
About the Role
You will be joining a collaborative and high-achieving PE department that promotes health, fitness, teamwork, and wellbeing across the school. The role will involve teaching Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and inclusive lessons, and contributing to a wide range of extracurricular sporting activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering high-quality PE lessons in line with the national curriculum
Inspiring students to participate and excel in physical education
Promoting positive attitudes towards health, fitness, and teamwork
Supporting extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures, and events
Contributing to the school's ethos of excellence, inclusion, and personal growth
About You
We're looking for a teacher who is:
A qualified PE specialist with QTS (ECTs are also welcome to apply)
Passionate about motivating young people through sport and physical activity
Skilled in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons to suit all abilities
A strong team player who contributes positively to department life
Committed to maintaining high standards of behaviour and achievement
