Applications are invited for the post of Specialty Doctor in Oral Surgery at the Royal National ENT & Eastman Dental Hospitals, within University College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
This post is suitable for an experienced SHO/ DCT/ specialty doctor or post-CCST registrar, who would work closely with Consultant Oral Surgeons and team.
The post holder will work across our outpatient services at the Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospital as well as supporting GA activity as required and outreach clinics at Charing Cross Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work under the direction of the Consultants in Oral Surgery and be directly responsible to the Clinical Lead. He or she will be expected to:
1. Provide a courteous and efficient Oral Surgery service to all users across our sites under multiple modalities and settings
2. Provide high quality oral surgery management
3. Support Head and neck cancer services and other specialties as required
4. Deliver the clinical protocols as defined by the Oral Surgery department
5. Ensure the whole team are aware of these processes and protocols
6. Undertake Continued Professional Development/ Local Mandatory training and be aware of new clinical developments
7. Undertake teaching and training in oral surgery
