Role Purpose
Our People Team is seeking a People Advisor to deliver high-quality Employee Relations advice and people support across Cormac. This role provides pragmatic, business-focused solutions that align with employment legislation, organisational policies, and best practice. You will play a key role in supporting and coaching managers, helping them to manage their people responsibilities confidently while contributing to a consistent and professional people service.
Working closely with Senior Advisors and the wider People Team, you will provide essential support across the full employee lifecycle.
What the Role Will Include:
1. Managing a complex Employee Relations caseload, ensuring outcomes are timely, fair, and consistent.
2. Advising managers on employment legislation, organisational policies and procedures, and terms and conditions of employment.
3. Investigating cases and presenting or advising at formal hearings, escalating more complex matters where appropriate.
4. Coaching and supporting managers to build confidence and capability in people management, promoting informal resolution wherever possible.
5. Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with managers and trade union representatives.
6. Contributing to organisational change initiatives, service improvement, and people-related projects.
7. Supporting the review, development, and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
8. Maintaining accurate case records and producing HR metrics and reports as required.
What You Will Bring:
9. Strong, up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and Employee Relations best practice.
10. Proven experience advising on complex employee relations matters.
11. The ability to coach and influence managers, with clear and confident communication skills at all levels.
12. Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
13. A high standard of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
14. CIPD Level qualification, or working towards it.
15. Degree-level qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
16. A full, valid driving licence and the ability to travel as required.
