We’re looking for a proactive and commercially minded Ecommerce Trading & Merchandising Lead to join our Digital & Membership team. You’ll work closely with teams across Ecommerce, Marketing, Procurement and Supply to deliver strong trading performance, support product launches, and ensure our online experience reflects the high standards our customers expect. This role offers variety, ownership, and the chance to help drive our digital trading strategy in a fast-growing area of the business.
About The Role
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time
Hours of Work: 37.5 Hours per week, working Monday to Friday
As a Ecommerce Trading & Merchandising Lead, you’ll manage day‑to‑day onsite trading, optimise category and product performance, and support digital merchandising across PLPs, PDPs, navigation and search. You will play a key role in enhancing the customer journey, ensuring product accuracy, and supporting cross‑functional commercial activity.
Key responsibilities
* Lead the ecommerce trading plan across multiple product categories
* Managing daily performance including sales, conversion, AOV and stock availability
* Use data to spot trading opportunities, risks, and trends
* Curating product ranges by season, category and customer need
* Maintaining high‑quality product content and presentation
* Own product launches and range refreshes
* Optimising navigation, filters, sort options and site search
* Producing performance reports and sharing commercial insights
* Working collaboratively across Marketing, Procurement, Digital and Supply Chain
* Ensuring onsite activity is aligned with cross‑functional campaigns and promotions
About You
* Experience in ecommerce trading, digital merchandising or online retail
* Strong commercial awareness and analytical mindset
* Confident working with digital KPIs and performance data
* Highly organised, detail‑focused and comfortable managing multiple tasks
* Experience with ecommerce platforms (Magento desirable)
* Strong communication skills and a customer‑first mindset
* Collaborative, proactive and adaptable to a fast‑paced environment
* Understanding of SEO, CRO or personalisation is a bonus
