Robert Half are partnered with a leading Scottish business to appoint a new Management Accountant on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic role for a dedicated and qualified professional to join a well-established business.
Role
Deliver accurate financial information, analysis, and insights to support strategic decision-making, budgeting, and performance management for designated business areas. Take a proactive role in preparing management accounts, including forecasting, cost control, and financial planning, to ensure the organisation's financial stability and operational effectiveness.
Responsibilities
1. Compile and deliver monthly management results alongside associated reports.
2. Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and prepayments.
3. Collaborate with asset managers and department heads to develop forecasts, five-year plans, and annual budgets.
4. Handle general accounting tasks.
5. Complete various submissions required by the tax department.
6. Process and code invoices.
7. Prepare recharges and recoverable works for port tenants.
8. Offer financial support to asset managers and department heads.
Key Requirements:
9. Fully qualified in Management Accounting with extensive industry experience.
10. Demonstrate strong analytical abilities and excellent numerical skills.
11. Proven capability to work efficiently within set timescales and meet deadlines.
12. Ability to "spin the plates" by managing multiple priorities effectively.
13. Skilled at building and maintaining robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior and executive management.
14. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, as well as accounting software.
15. Someone who enjoys working collaboratively and contributes ideas in a supportive team environment.
