Offer description

What we're looking for (and why you should keep reading)

Are you a fully qualified Gas Engineer with at least two years of experience and a strong can-do attitude? Do you take pride in flawless installs, love tackling all things gas-related, and want the flexibility to choose between being self-employed or employed? If so — this could be your ideal next move. We're seeking a skilled engineer who wants to join a well-established, growing heating & plumbing outfit that values quality, reliability and top-class workmanship.

About the Role

You'll primarily be responsible for gas installations across domestic properties (combi, system, conventional boilers and related heating systems), but you'll also handle all other gas-related work — from servicing to repairs, and everything in between. Projects will mostly be in East London, but with a base in Haverhill. You'll travel to different sites, delivering safe, reliable, and high-quality work. Whether installing a new system or maintaining an existing one, you'll be the go-to expert ensuring each job is done to standard — on time, cleanly, and professionally.

About the Client

This is a respected heating, plumbing and bathroom-installations firm — with a broad service offering that includes boilers, hot-water systems, full bathroom installs, plumbing, leak repairs and general heating work.

They are known for their commitment to quality, neat workmanship, clear communication and a customer-first approach. In any job, they value professionalism, respect for the customer's home, and getting things done right — which makes them a stable, reliable partner for any engineer who shares those standards.

Working Hours

* Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 17:00

* Option to work as self-employed or employed, depending on what suits you best

* Must have own tools

Key Duties

* Install new gas boilers (combi, system, conventional) and full heating/hot-water systems.

* Perform all other gas-related tasks: servicing, maintenance, repairs, safety checks, pipework, radiator installs, etc.

* Ensure all work meets regulatory and safety standards.

* Provide high-quality workmanship with attention to detail and cleanliness.

* Travel to various sites (mainly East London), manage workload, liaise with clients professionally.

Key Requirements

* Minimum 2 years' hands-on experience as a qualified Gas Engineer.

* Appropriate gas qualifications / Gas Safe registration (or equivalent).

* Bonus if you hold unvented hot-water and LPG qualifications.

* Own tools and be self-motivated, reliable, and professional.

* Ability to travel to East London and manage time and sites independently.

* Strong communication and customer service skills.

If you're a dedicated, qualified Gas Engineer seeking a long-term opportunity with flexibility and great earning potential — we want to hear from you. Apply now to take the next step in your career.
