As a Vice President at JPMorgan Chase within the International Consumer Bank, you will play a crucial role in delivering an outstanding banking experience. You will work in a diverse, inclusive, and geographically distributed team, focusing on new technology. Our engineers are solution-oriented, interested in finance, and focused on addressing customer needs. You will be involved in building iOS and Android mobile applications, focusing on design, architecture, maintenance, and infrastructure solutions, covering the entire SDLC and liaising with cross-functional teams to drive future tool landscapes.
Job Responsibilities
1. Build scalable solutions that avoid single points of failure using resilient architectural patterns.
2. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to implement reliable build and infrastructure tools.
3. Design software that is easy to understand, test, and evolve.
4. Identify and resolve issues proactively in build infrastructure to ensure resilience.
5. Implement development requirements in CI tooling using Jenkins declarative pipelines.
6. Define KPIs, generate metrics, and drive improvements to system efficiency, reliability, and ease of operation.
7. Maintain the CI framework (Cloudbees-based) used by developers, utilizing AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
8. Improve resiliency and developer experience in Release Management frameworks.
9. Conduct thorough testing to ensure robustness and reliability of build infrastructure tools.
10. Lead migration of SCM/CI tooling to GitHub and Actions.
11. Support products throughout their lifecycle, including in production and incident management.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities & Skills
* Formal training or certification in continuous integration concepts and advanced experience.
* Experience managing CI and automation toolchains.
* Hands-on experience with CI systems development, maintenance, and administration.
* Proficiency with declarative pipelines and infrastructure as code.
* Experience coding and debugging with Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages.
* Understanding of AWS build clusters, including AMI Images, EC2, and Autoscaling.
* Experience leading migration projects for source code management and CI tools, especially with GitHub and Actions.
* Guidance experience on build systems like Make, CMake, Maven, Xcode, or Swift.
* Ability to address customer needs promptly, even for repetitive tasks.
* Support experience on Linux and Mac platforms.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities & Skills
* Experience assessing risks in build toolchains and influencing onboarding decisions.
* Knowledge of build tools for Android, iOS, or React Native development.
* Experience with Jenkins/Cloudbees CI systems.
* Experience supporting build systems using TypeScript.
* Experience in release management and automation-driven improvements.
