Job Title: Part-Time Facilities Assistant
Location: Heath Farm College, Maidstone ME16 0ER
Salary: £21,125.00 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 32.5 per week, Mon–Fri
Contract: Permanent, 52 weeks
Start Date: September 2025

About the Role
We’re hiring a Facilities Assistant to join our team at Heath Farm College. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment for staff and students. This includes general maintenance, cleaning, porterage, and supporting fleet and transport duties.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out minor repairs, painting, carpentry, and basic maintenance
2. Support upkeep of college grounds (e.g. fencing, clearing drains)
3. Maintain tools/equipment in good working order
4. Support college vehicle inspections and report any issues
5. Assist with staff transport when required
Who We’re Looking For
6. Experience in a practical or maintenance role
7. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently
8. A flexible, proactive approach to problem-solving
9. Ability to manage tasks with minimal disruption to college operations
