The role
As a Ground Crew Instructor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of delivering specialist refuelling operations training to Phase 2 trainees and students in the Army Air Corps. This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact - developing future military professionals while advancing your own career in defence, aerospace and engineering.
Day-to-day you’ll be:
1. Delivering classroom and practical instruction on military refuel vehicles
2. Maintaining subject matter expertise and training currency
3. Developing engaging training materials and lesson plans
4. Managing fleet maintenance and fuel accounts
5. Supporting trainees with progress tracking and reporting
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and is based on site at Middle Wallop. This is a fixed term contract for 12 months.
Essential experience of the Ground Crew Instructor
6. Delivering high-level training in a structured environment
7. Confident using Microsoft Office to create and present materials
8. Hands-on experience with military refuel vehicles
Qualifications for the Ground Crew Instructor
9. ADR Licence (Modules 1, 2, 3, 4*, 6)
10. Full UK Driving Licence with C+E Category
11. Defence Instructional Technique (or equivalent) - Preferred
12. ADR (HAZMAT) Instructor (DST Registered) - Preferred
13. Defence Train the Trainer Course - Preferred
