Your new companyWe're working with a leading building services consultancy who are expanding their Belfast team and looking to appoint a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern, people-focused consultancy delivering high-quality MEP solutions across commercial, healthcare, industrial, education and residential sectors.Your new roleAs a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering projects from concept through to completion, working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams. You'll take ownership of mechanical design, contribute to project delivery, and support junior engineers within the business.Lead mechanical design on projects from concept to handoverWork closely with clients, consultants and internal teamsDeliver compliant, high-quality engineering solutionsAttend site meetings, carry out inspections and review technical submittalsPrepare reports, design documentation and project updatesManage project costs relating to mechanical packagesSupport client relationships and project delivery strategyMentor junior engineers and support team developmentCoordinate designs alongside wider engineering disciplinesWhat you'll need to succeedMinimum 5+ years' experience in a consultancy environmentDegree in Building Services / Mechanical Engineering (or similar)Strong knowledge of HVAC, water services and mechanical design standardsExperience across UK/ROI commercial-scale MEP projectsProficiency in Hevacomp, AutoCAD, Revit and NavisworksStrong communication and reporting skillsChartered Engineer status or working towards thisWhat you'll get in returnThis is a business that genuinely looks after its people.
