Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Program Overview
The TANF program aims to assist adults in low-income families to achieve self-sufficiency through employment. Research indicates that TANF clients facing barriers to employment are less likely to find jobs, tend to have lower earnings, and are at higher risk of losing assistance due to non-compliance sanctions.
DSS endeavors to identify, accommodate, and resolve barriers that hinder TANF clients' paths to employment, self-sufficiency, and family well-being. The TANF Bridge Program supports clients in overcoming barriers such as substance use, mental health issues, domestic violence, homelessness, and other challenges. The program promotes stability and helps clients meet their personal and employment goals.
