Role Overview:
As a Geography Teacher, you will deliver engaging and informative lessons across Key Stages. Your role will involve helping students understand geographical processes, explore global challenges, and develop analytical and research skills that extend beyond the classroom.
Responsibilities as a Geography Teacher:
Plan and deliver curriculum-aligned Geography lessons that promote enquiry and engagement.
Teach across Key Stages, adapting teaching methods to meet varying student needs.
Use a range of resources and fieldwork to enhance students' geographical understanding.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
Create a safe and supportive classroom environment that fosters curiosity and academic success.
Contribute to departmental planning, collaboration, and enrichment opportunities.
Requirements for the Geography Teacher role:
UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
A degree in Geography or a closely related subject.
Experience teaching Geography in a UK school setting.
Strong classroom management and lesson delivery skills.
A genuine enthusiasm for the subject and a commitment to student progress.
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
