About the role
The NHS Fife Pharmacy and Medicines Directorate offers an ambitious programme of integrated care for a population of approximately 380,000 people. This business support role will provide high‑standard support to the Business Support Team and collaborate with various directorate units, including Medicines Supply & Quality, Clinical Services, Education & Training, Community Pharmacy, and Governance & Prescribing.
Key responsibilities
* Work closely with Medicines Supply & Quality, Clinical Services, Education & Training, Community Pharmacy, and Governance & Prescribing teams.
* Develop and maintain high‑standard support for the Business Support Team.
* Provide administrative and business support across the Directorate.
* Travel to different base locations across Fife as required.
Qualifications and experience
* HNC level education or equivalent experience.
* Strong business support experience and ability to work effectively with a wide range of staff groups.
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Flexibility to meet the demands of modern healthcare and willingness to learn new technology.
* Prior to appointment, membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is required.
Benefits and working conditions
As of 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours per week, with a corresponding increase in hourly rate. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata, and salary is pro‑rata for part‑time hours.
