Audit & Accounts Senior
An ambitious and well-respected accountancy firm is seeking an Audit & Accounts Senior to join their growing team in Preston.

The Role
As Audit & Accounts Senior, you will:
* Lead and support on statutory audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
* Prepare year-end statutory accounts and financial statements for a mixed portfolio of clients across multiple sectors.
* Draft corporation tax computations and liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients where required.
* Assist with management accounts, VAT returns, and ad hoc advisory projects as needed.
* Review the work of junior team members, offering guidance, coaching, and feedback to support their professional development.
* Act as a key point of contact for clients, handling queries, providing clear technical advice, and developing long-term relationships.
* Work closely with managers and Partners to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.
* Keep up to date with accounting, tax, and audit regulations, ensuring high levels of technical compliance and best practice.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will be:
* ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified, with proven experience in both audit and accounts within practice.
* Confident in leading audits, preparing accounts, and managing client relationships.
* Technically strong, with sound knowledge of current audit and accounting standards.
* Comfortable working with cloud-based systems such as Xero or QuickBooks, alongside traditional software.
* Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
* An effective communicator with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* Ambitious, proactive, and eager to continue developing your career within a forward-thinking firm.
