This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Solicitor with ambition to work in our private client department. The role involves fee earning work, working independently and as part of a team, maintaining existing client relations, and developing new relationships with third-party referrers.
The position is suited for someone interested in working with high net worth individuals, primarily based in Stratford-upon-Avon, with a requirement to be in the office 3-4 days a week for collaboration.
The work is varied, rewarding, and offers autonomy and development opportunities.
What you will be doing:
1. Undertaking fee earning work independently and as part of the team, contributing profitably to the department.
2. Maintaining existing client relations and developing new ones with third-party referrers.
3. Handling private client matters including wills, powers of attorney, estate planning, estate administration, and Court of Protection work. Experience in trust creation and administration is advantageous.
4. Participating in the growth of the department by building the client database and marketing services.
5. Managing files and case documentation, ensuring compliance with policies.
6. Completing time recording and other management records.
7. Using case management software to handle cases.
8. Communicating professionally with clients and professionals, demonstrating diplomacy and sensitivity.
9. Conducting legal research and managing financial aspects of your cases, including billing and cash flow.
10. Recognising and developing fee-earning opportunities.
What you will need:
A caring and proactive attitude, with a strong sense of responsibility towards clients. Personable, approachable, and interested in dealing with individuals and families. Good numeracy skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel are essential. Strong communication skills, organization, professionalism, honesty, and integrity are also required.
