Job Title
Reactive Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)

Job Purpose
Carry out reactive works to building plant, equipment and systems in accordance with agreed service levels, undertake small installation works, and respond to site engineering emergencies.
Key Tasks
* Ensure routine maintenance of all electrical and mechanical systems to meet and exceed service level agreements.
* Carry out reactive repairs on all systems, calling relevant sub‑contractors as required.
* Update weekly equipment reports with any change in status of equipment.
* Liaise with sub‑contractors for repairs/quotations, monitor performance, and ensure works are completed correctly and areas left satisfactory.
* Sign off completed PPM and reactive tasks via PDA in line with client policies and procedures.
* Present a professional image of CBRE to clients and visitors and deliver excellent customer service.
* Establish and maintain a good working relationship with the client representative and client personnel.
* Maintain a safe and healthy working environment, complying with all company and client site policies.
* Accurately maintain site logs and associated paperwork.
* Participate in call‑out rota (if applicable).
* Understand all systems on site and liaise with other trade engineers to resolve electrical issues within SLA agreements.
* Commit to personal development and lifelong learning, maintaining professional and technical skills.
Person Specification
Skills
* Good basic education with strong written and spoken English and basic mathematical skills.
* Recognised Electrical Qualification.
* Knowledge of C&G 18th Edition in Electrical Installations and C&G Test and Inspection.
Knowledge
* Good knowledge of various building electrical systems and planned preventive maintenance regimes.
* Current knowledge of BS related to electrical systems on site (emergency lighting, fire alarm, power, BMS, etc.).
Experience
* Experience working with business‑critical equipment.
* Experience within a customer‑focused role.
* Previous experience in a health and safety‑led role.
* Experience of electrical systems management and paperwork.
Aptitude
* Committed to the delivery of excellent customer service.
* Able to work under pressure and make sound decisions when needed.
* Good timekeeping, reliable, and able to work without supervision.
* Team player with good communication skills.
Circumstances
* Must be able to work within a call‑out rota.
