My client, a large public sector organisation, is actively recruiting a Head of Enterprise Architecture to join their team.
Your new role
As Head of Enterprise Architecture, you will guide the leadership team, system managers, product owners and various distributed delivery teams through transformation and optimisation initiatives, supporting the formulation of business strategy, oues, and capabilities.
1. Activities include helping the organisation achieve targeted business oues related to service excellence, optimising costs, mitigating risks, and improving sustainability.
2. This role will focus on realising the business strategy by tailoring the IT strategy and enterprise architecture of the organisation.
3. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, analysing long and short-term requirements, and ensuring the function aligns with best practices whilst being scalable and secure
What you'll need to succeed
• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in business,puter science,puter engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience.
• Certifications may include those from the Certified Enterprise Architect Professional (CEAP), The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) and The Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
• Extensive relevant working experience in a similar role in a highly regulated andplex industry.
• Significant experience in strategic and operations planning and/or business analysis or experience as an enterprise architecture consultant.
• Significant experience in at least three disciplines, such as business, information, solution or technical architecture, application development, middleware, information analysis, database management or operations inplex and multidisciplinary environments.
Skills & Knowledge
4. (PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analytics.
5. Understanding of business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting, and risk management.
6. Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools, related graphical models, and frameworks.
7. Insight into information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks.
8. Understanding of various operating models such as project-centric and product-centric and different types of agile principles, methodologies, and frameworks, especially those designed to be scaled at the enterprise level.
9. Awareness of existing, new, and emerging technologies, and processing environments.
10. Effective leadership skills with exceptional soft and interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.
11. Strong consulting skills such as targetedmunications, engagement management, stakeholder management and business development.
12. Mastery of allponents of enterprise architecture, business & IT principles, and processes.
13. Excellent analytical, planning, and organisational skills. Organisationally savvy, with situational and contextual intelligence of the enterprise and how to navigate obstacles and challenges.
14. Balances the long-term (“big picture”) and short-term implications of individual decisions and organisation goals.
15. Estimates the financial impact of EA alternatives and applies multiple solutions to business problems.
16. Rapidlyprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies.
17. Ready to think, behave and act in an innovative consulting manner to drive the organisation’s digital business strategies.
18. Understands and speaks the language of business. Excellent written, verbal,munication, and presentation skills with the ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
