We’re looking for an experienced Forklift Truck Driver to join the yard team at Huntingdon Timber Supplies. This is a fast-paced, practical role at the heart of our operation, supporting customers, suppliers and colleagues to keep everything running smoothly. What you'll be doing: * Safely operating a forklift to pick, load and unload vehicles * Assisting customers, suppliers and delivery drivers on site * Picking orders manually and handling heavy materials where required * Keeping the yard clean, organised and safe, with high standards of presentation * Managing stock rotation and highlighting shortages or issues * Carrying out daily checks on plant and machinery and reporting defects or H&S concerns * Working closely with the wider yard team to maintain an efficient operation What we're looking for: * Valid forklift licence and experience operating a forklift * Previous experience working in a timber merchant or builders’ merchant environment * Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling * Good communication skills and attention to detail * Able to work independently and as part of a team * Strong awareness of safety procedures * Eligible to work in the UK Hours: 7am-5pm Mon-Fri, 8am-12pm alternate Saturdays Holiday: 21 days per year plus Bank Holidays Benefits: Discretionary bonus scheme If you take pride in working safely, enjoy being part of a busy yard team, and want a role with long-term security in a well-established timber business, we’d love to hear from you.
