The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Field Sales Engineer to join a leading supplier of industrial compressors, compressed air systems, vacuum technology, and associated equipment .
This is a home-based, customer-facing technical sales role focused on developing new business, managing key accounts, and providing engineered solutions across manufacturing, engineering, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, and general industry sectors.
You will work closely with service, applications, and internal sales teams to deliver energy-efficient compressed air solutions, turnkey installations, and long-term service agreements .
Key Responsibilities Develop new business opportunities for industrial air compressors, dryers, filtration, pipework, and air system solutions
Manage and grow an existing portfolio of OEM, manufacturing, and engineering customers
Conduct site surveys, air audits, and technical assessments to recommend optimal solutions
Prepare technical quotations, proposals, and tender submissions
Promote service contracts, maintenance agreements, and energy-saving upgrades
Achieve sales targets, margin objectives, and territory growth plans
Maintain accurate activity using CRM systems
About You Proven experience in field sales engineering, technical sales, or business development
Strong knowledge of compressed air systems, compressors, pneumatics, vacuum, pumps, or rotating equipment
Ability to sell capital equipment, service contracts, and engineered solutions
Comfortable working in a field-based, autonomous sales role
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
Experience with energy efficiency projects, air audits, leak detection, or industrial utilities .
