The Role of a Fast Jet Training – Scheduling Manager
The Scheduling Manager is a key coordination role within the Fast Jet training pipeline. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimising the daily, weekly, and long-range schedules for flying and synthetic events. Working closely with instructors, operations teams, engineering, and student management, you will ensure that training is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual output requirements.
This is a high-impact role in a fast-paced operational environment where accuracy, foresight, and the ability to balance competing priorities are essential.
Day to day
Day to day, you will provide clear, accurate and timely scheduling that keeps Fast Jet training running safely, efficiently and predictably.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Lead the creation and management of daily/weekly flying and synthetic schedules for Fast Jet training.
* Coordinate aircraft, simulator, instructor, and student availability to maximise training output.
* Act as the central point of contact for scheduling changes, sharing updates clearly and promptly with stakeholders.
* Identify risks to training delivery and implement mitigation plans to protect output.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, instructor currency, and training progression requirements.
Work collaboratively with engineering, ops, and training management teams to maintain an efficient and predictable training pipeline.

* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities, inputs, and constraints accurately.
* Strong analytical thinking, able to interpret training demand, capacity limitations, and operational factors to build efficient schedules.
* Clear and confident communication skills, capable of influencing and coordinating with instructors, engineering teams, ops staff, and student management.
* Ability to remain calm, structured and accurate under pressure, especially when responding to last‑minute changes in a fast‑paced operational environment.
* High attention to detail and commitment to safe, compliant scheduling, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, instructor currency, and training progression needs.
Desirable Criteria of a Fast Jet Training – Scheduling Manager
* Experience in military flying training, aviation operations, or another regulated safety‑critical environment.
* Understanding of Fast Jet training, aircraft operations, or synthetic training systems (e.g., simulators, synthetic events).
* Experience working within a high‑tempo operational setting, demonstrating the ability to stay calm and structured under rapidly changing circumstances.
Qualifications For a Fast Jet Training – Scheduling Manager
* Relevant operational, aviation, or scheduling‑related training or certification, OR equivalent professional experience.
* Proficiency with scheduling systems and digital tools, such as Microsoft 365 or aviation scheduling software (training can be provided, but competence is beneficial).
* Security clearance eligibility (as required for roles supporting military training environments)

Site roles
This role is full time, 40 hours per week and provides a stable Monday to Friday work schedule with no weekend flying.

Security Clearance
