Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Specialist Speech and Language Therapist within our Adult In Patient Team based at University Hospital Crosshouse.

What you will do:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced SLT to join the driven and innovative team of Adult SLTs in East Ayrshire. There is exciting opportunity for acute hospital working, based at University Hospital Crosshouse – a busy, fast-paced, general hospital which also hosts the hyper-acute stroke unit for Ayrshire & Arran.

The SLT service delivers a highly responsive service to adults with communication and/or swallowing disorders across all wards within the hospital. There are opportunities for developing skills in areas of advanced dysphagia and videofluoroscopy as well as working with hyper acute presentations at the front door, acute cardiac unit and within intensive care.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

You should have a significant experience working within the adult acute setting, and post graduate dysphagia competencies are essential.

Hours:

37 hours over 5 days Monday-Friday, typical 8.30-4.30 pattern although alternatives will be considered

Part time/ flexible working will be considered.

UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership :

UK Car licence/Car ownership is essential to this role.
