This is a Senior Care Assistant role at Avery Healthcare, a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. The role involves supporting the care team in delivering high-quality personal care to residents, while also taking on additional responsibilities such as care planning, staff supervision, and acting as a key point of contact for residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
Overview
Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
Responsibilities
Other responsibilities will include:
* Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, noting any changes impacting care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and updating records to reflect variations.
* Being involved in the person-centred care planning process by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
* Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
* Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff development where required.
* Acting as a key point of contact for residents, relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing; ensuring reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated as needed.

* Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
* Have 2 years of experience working in a similar care environment.
* Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

* Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
