We seek a Payroll Manager with strong technical expertise and confidence to oversee one of the most sensitive areas: colleague pay. You will ensure outsourced payroll services are processed accurately, compliantly, and on time, covering all UK-based colleagues, international colleagues, and inpats. You should have experience managing payroll service delivery, applying payroll controls, and staying updated on taxation and legal requirements. You will support complex queries and bespoke payroll needs. Working with two Payroll Analysts, you’ll handle daily operations, process improvements, and projects. You’ll lead and influence stakeholders, resolve complex issues, and meet deadlines. Key Accountabilities
Successful monthly payroll controls Contract management of payroll service provider Payroll software setup and accuracy Manage key annual processes (P60, HMRC returns, etc.) Company Car Fleet Administration Modified payroll for inpats Who We’re Looking For
You will have extensive experience managing large multisite payrolls, with thorough knowledge of HMRC legislation including PAYE, NIC, benefits, RTI, and statutory payments. Excellent communication skills are essential to liaise effectively across the business. What You’ll Bring
CIPP qualification or equivalent experience Understanding of current legislation, compliance, and controls Experience managing outsourced or in-house payroll systems Ability to manage controls, audits, and stakeholder needs Strong SAP HR/reporting skills and data mindset Our Ways of Working
