Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in their homes or care homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while being attentive to the needs of our clients. The post is for 3 nights per week.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity while providing emotional support.
* Follow individual care plans to meet the specific needs of each client.
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
* Document client progress and any changes in condition accurately.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients at all times.
* Participate in training sessions and team meetings as necessary.
Requirements
* Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Ability to follow care plans meticulously.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients.
* Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
* A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
